...and Mt. Baw Baw National Park at that.
"You want WHAT? Bookwork? Look at the weather, boyo.....we'll go for a ride!!"
And that was that. Not much convincing needed, let's head east into the hills then, we'll see where we'll finish up.
The old timber-town of Powelltown first
before the first set of twisties
and past Noojee towards Tanjil Bren
A break and a chocky bar to tackle more of the plentiful loose gravel, bark, subsided road edges and mid-corner surprises brought about by dropped branches after the recent high winds.
Goodie keels over while trying to get a good shot
More of those rotten twisties 8)
Mt. Baw Baw from the distance...a seam of wattle in bloom below the summit:
Off again for the last bit to the summit and Ski-Village
The view into the Latrobe Valley and across into Gippsland
Ski season seems pretty much over....
On the way back home
The Red Parrot Cafe in Noojee had a new barista on temporary duty and the cuppacinos were a superb side-dish to an animated coversation with a British/ South-African couple on a GSX14....the sun getting low as it was time to close the ride with a few more twisties on the way home as the shadows grew long.
