I usually have 3 bikes for myself in the stable. My "main" bike (currently R1200GS), my race bike (currently ZXR400RR-SP) and my commute/weekend fun bike.

My last commute bike I destroyed the front end, destroyed the crank, busted the shocks, broke the brakes, and generally wrecked. Decided it was time for something a bit more tough and a bit more modern. Picked it up yesterday, went out for a test today......

Good on the tight single trail.......check

Good on the saltpans.......check (this is mel by the way!)

Easy to get around obstacles to access protected estate......check!

Good in the bush.........check! (mel again)

Good brakes, good shocks, adjustable, giant headstock.......no bloody motor though! . 3hours and 30km of offroad and I was totally stuffed. I think I need to improve my endurance! Should be good for riding to work and back though. Does this count as a rat bike with the matt black paint?

Don't worry guys I have 2x2500km adventure rides with Mel on the 500 and me on the 1200 planned for the next month.........will post some REAL ride reports soon, instead of teasing you all with pushbike garbage! :P
