Well it's been hot down here in the southern parts of Aus, dam hot. Up north the natives are getting restless it’s wet or something.
36 degrees here today, 37 tomorrow, to hot for working, hard that is, well on a roof anyway, nearly to hot to ride but not quite. I’ve been building a shed up the back, somewhere for a man to go. And to store some of SWMBO junk. Junk she doesn’t want but won't get rid of. O, and a bit of mine, but mine’s not junk ok.

I was trying to cut some sheets of corrugated iron and the small angle grinder just wasn’t up to the job and I know there is a good one at work. So I suppose I had better go get it. Looks like the GS is ready

So Iím off . . .

but I had to come back I had forgotten this :bang::bang:

I was on gravel only a couple of kís from home, it didnít take me in the direction of work and the sign said ďno through roadĒ but I thought it should. There was a gate but it was only for those on 4 wheels it seems.

Somehow the GS turned the wrong way at the highway then left on another road which turned to dirt so I suppose this is going to take a little longer than it should.

I found a nice cool corner

This gentleman wanted to look at some real horse power

Well he had no choice he was tied there. Something I don't have to do with the GS.

I've solved the heat issue.
Left home at 6.30 this morning had a spectacularly good ride and was home again by 10.30.
What more could one want?

Stoped in Marysville briefly for a drink and continued on up the hill, no snow today, sorry no photos Iím meant to be going to work remember, then I found this old stump.
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c259/farawayman/0408ride/IMG_5477.jpg

This used to be a site of an old sawmill, milling mainly Mountain Ash, the worlds tallest flowering plant. They can grow to a hight of 500 feet and have a girth of 50 feet. As a kid we used to come up here to escape the heat and to camp, ride our bikes, terrorise the place, that sort of thing and there was some big trees then. A storm a few years later took the heads right out of them. There are still a few of those ones around.

Down the Refton Spur, another great road of twists and turns, watch out for 4 wheel drives, log trucks and sports bikes coming the other way. They all seem to like their half of the road in the middle. Sorry no photos except this one which is at the bottom end of the spur where most stop for a breather either before or after the run.
15 minutes from here and Iím at work

The GS wanted some shade

Back home again. Do you think she will notice I have been gone?

Got a nibbler here, you're welcome to it.
Makes for a quick and very neat job
(and saves yer work-thongs from those flying sparks) :poke::whistle:
