Unfortunately, my pop passed away about 2am on Thursday 3/4/08
May he rest in peace

Really sorry to hear that.
And what a SAD end to an otherwise fantastic ride :(:(

Perhaps you'll do it again soon to visit Nan...and check out the stunning Roseberry Lookout (at the top of thetwisties of the Oxley) and Aspley Gorge on the way back?

...while the old bloke up there will be looking down on ya, grinning from ear to ear :so

A great report mate, there is some magnificent country up that way. Sorry to hear about your Pop. It's never an easy time. Perhaps it's time for another ride, always helps a bit for me.
Remind me to spend more time exploring next time I'm going past that way.

FUTURE.

yeah, maybe another ride n a few weeks, and when i say pop, i mean my pop, my fathers father.

I just came back from his funeral and his wake, good pictures of him in leather riding cap, from his younger days.
