I had planned a ride with gco0307 (Gaz) and Dave81 to see if we could get a V-strom up this hill

But with 15mm of rain the night before we decided to just play in my backyard instead.

This about 10 minutes from home and the wet feet were starting already:D

A bit of a drink stop and check of the bikes

Then it was time to check out the first big water hole.

Stroms don't like deep ruts.

But Gaz is having fun:clap

Then I went through and dropped the DR. (Gaz has the evidence)

Then Dave decides to go through the middle and make it look easy.

From there it was more mud, some of which I tasted. Then along the powerlines into more mud.

All handled very easily

Then we found a nice singletrack and headed off down it.

Where we snapped off the stroms gearlever:eek1

Then got it stuck and it stood up all on its own:D

And it was really stuck. But we worked out a way to get it out.

This was followed by some more nice singletrack and yet more mud.

I then took off a bit and waited, and waited. Eventually turning back to find the boys sitting down.

It turns out that Gaz wanted to go straight ahead but the strom had other ideas:lol3

All was well though and Gaz jumped back on and we headed back to my place to fix up the broken gearlever.

Not a big ride, but still an Adventure.

All of this just proves my theory that Stroms may be great bikes but they are definitely not trail bikes. :)
Give me a 250cc two stroke Enduro bike in there any day, even if it had to be orange. :)

FUTURE.
