Re: NOV 7+8...Vic High Country Gems D/S ride

Oh maaaaaaaan.....what a cracker of a weekend, JEEZAZ!!! ... :glu:glu:drool::drool: :killingme:killingme

Talk about variety, superprises and NUTHIN' by the book !!!

Overload in every department!!
Weather, routes, tracks, that Selma thing....the little muddy creek crossing, floating between mountains and skies, all the contacts with great folks along the way, the Fernleigh Cottages, the folks at the tiny Goughs Bay Cafe, the Targa officials and the owner of the Jamieson garage and towing....heart-warming welcomes at every point.

Tears of laughter and tears of frustration....if "Days of Our Lives" ever needs a new makeover, check this! :bs:bs
Thanks to all for a great time out there in the hills!!:bow:

It's just a matter of whether or not we can access what's left of the fuse tines...

....mr Google suggests this is an increasing issue for Tiger 800s....

I know a Triumph riding family where two brothers and their father all have 800s, and all of them have had issues with the main 30A fuse blowing, most commonly out on a trail, and particularly in the rain. That mod might also solve the issue of the fuse blowing, if the fuse area under the seat can be waterproofed some way with the extension leads in place.

Where the Fark is Yarck? Waiting for either the pub to open, or the crew to arrive.

They arrived in time (before the pub opened) and off we went. After fuel in Mansfield was on to Mt Stirling

After a bumpy ride in, the track reveals the iconic Craigs Hut.

Maybe the links were "Fuseable " and blew in sympathy with the Triumph posts...

You're damn close there....the server-mob (Parcom) I've got my personal pics/ files on has been bought by another mob which has been "fusing" the operations into their own....with the usual associated chaos along the way.

Uploaded the pics last night, ready to link, no worries.
All file-management via FTP is fine...but once linked, not a single pic shows up.
It's been fairly flakey over the last 4 weeks....emailed them last night (our time), have to wait and see how it goes.

This link should open a pic in a new browser pane immediately....if it does, they're ALL back on.

Mt Buller resort. More Porshe Cayenne's and Lexus's than you'd care to count.

It wasn't that long ago this was all covered in snow. 22 chair lifts on Mt Buller

It was time to head for our accomodation. Goughs Bay, Lake Eildon.
A spirited run down the mountain and a few back roads got us there late afternoon.

Ant playing Submarine.
