You wouldn't know it now, though...lots of trees have toppled, much has been logged and both road verges have been cleaned up 30ft deep and graded at some stage.... some scraggly green coming back now.
Roadsigns are also non-exist.

So it's been turned into a freeway now?

There were no signs anywhere when I went through, did not know that I was still on the the right road till I got to the bottom. There was more arse than class that day.

Your first 2 pics show a sign with the name...there's nothing now.
Mainly the first ~500m on the eastern end have been logged fairly recently and look pretty rough and "moon-scapish", the rest flows into the Paradise Plains and towards Mt. Strickland and has greened over nicely.
