After a couple of nights visiting family in Brisbane we headed out again.

First stop the glow worm caves in Tambourine Mountain.

Today was the first time there have been any hang gliders at the hang glider launch hill atop Tambourine Mountain.

unfortunately, after the were rigged up and ready to launch, the wind turned to their backs, and didn't look like it was going to swing back around. After about 10 minutes waiting we gave up and left them to wait.

Almost 11 years ago, "Boky", a friend of ours had a fatal accident in the hinterland. Stopped at the accident site for a few moments as it was the first time I've been through here.

After a bit of running around looking for a petrol station we headed down to Natural Bridge and took a walk through the rainforest to see where the water falls into a cave.

The weather forecast was for rain this afternoon and overnight, so we called it a Day when we got to Casino, on the Bruxnor Hwy.

The next morning was sunny again as expected. We headed west along the Bruxnor Hwy to Tabulam, then south onto the Clarence Way. The first section of dirt here was quite corrugated, but later sections improved. Several sections of sealed road kept the scenery flowing by.

It was Jo's birthday, so all stops were pulled out and no expense was spared...
for a night in Drake, at the Lunatic Hotel. (ok it was the cheapest meal & accommodation stop of the trip to date, not including a couple of days being housed and fed by her sister in Brisbane)
