What would you do?

Same as you Doug, chickened out.
I could just see myself spending my holidays by my self, camped beside that mud hole, waiting for next property boom in Bruce. W-)

Found another way

Pulled into Quorn right on dark found a room at one of the pubs

In the morning I did a quick run down and back the Pichi Richi Pass. When in South Australia if you see a few twistys you ride them both ways won't take long

When the wrong way to Warren George but you get a different prospective that way.

There were a few bikes in Hawker when I fuelled up

Absolutely loved the Moralana Scenic drive, kept telling myself to stop, take some pictures but didn't.

Ahh - Moralana and Bunyeroo Gorge!! Possibly THE 2 favourites that Dougie and I got when we were over there recently as well! Or perhaps that was Glass Gorge, PAR, Parachilna Gorge? It's all a big blur and it's ALL good! Great pictures Dave!!!

Got a donga for the night at Parachilna, nothing there other than the Pub. Expensive but comfortable, they specialised in cooking up our Coat of Arms, I went for something simple Fish and chips for $33 :wow:

Last chance for fuel was Angorichina Village then back tracked and did the PAR and Glass Gorge to Blinmin, sorry no photos. Hung around in town and waited for Helmut and group to come through. Nice to watch the world go passed for a change.
Finally Wirrealpa

Super Térrarist
75 of us from all over the country there for couple of days.

I met the owner of this Tranny in Cobar on Friday night. He pulled up stumps at the same motel as me.

Your photos of the Flinder's Ranges are just outstanding, Dave.

Thanks Nev

Was his mate with him on a KLR? They were from Townsville. They came down the Birdsville track.

Went for a leisurely ride the next morning, easy he said, 38km he said . .
It only took us 3 hours.

This was the highway.

Some statistics I found interesting/surprising
Suzuki has been the most represented at this event over the years. This year they were piped by BMW
No Vstroms this year
Not one Africa Twin, and only couple of Honda's
KTM were well represented.
A couple of TDM's
