The landscape west of Ruffy is amazing isn't it. Not like anything you'll see around that area or even anywhere else in Victoria. It's almost like a moonscape and reminiscent of the landscape above the snow line in the Snowy Mountains. Even though it's only 75km as the crow flies from there to my home in suburban Melbourne, it feels so much more remote.
