Default Glendambo Gallop

The Super Tenere has had it's 70k service and in need of a good ride. i packed a change of clothes on Friday morning, pulled on the thermals and riding gear and headed out west. First stop was fuel in Warrenheip, a suburb of Ballarat, then straight up the Western Hwy.

A few sections of roadworks slowed things down.

I found a food van service steak sandwiches in Adelaide and fuelled up myself on one, then headed north up the Augusta Hwy. Arrived at the motel in Port Augusta after reception had closed but found my key in their safe as arranged and fell asleep pretty quickly.

Next morning I left Port Augusta in the dark and made my way up the Stuart Hwy, towards Darwin.

First stop was to catch the sunrise about an hour north of P.A.

Visited the town of Woomera

Stopped at the Glendambo Roadhouse for fuel and lunch and a longer break

The hotel, motel, two petrol stations and a few shacks for the locals out the back and not much else.

After an overnight stop in Adelaide I hit the road before dawn again. Sunday was just a blast back down the Dukes/Western Hwy to home.

Dawn breaking through mist

Fog with this much visibilty all the way from Bordertown to Horsham. At least not so bad I couldn't sit on the limit.

Obligatory shot of the koala in Dadswell Bridge.

and back home in time for Sunday lunch
