A great day out with the Openroaders on their August ride.

And it all started with heavy drizzle at 6am, light spittle at 8...progressed through big, puffy cumulus and plenty of sunshine....to more blackbellies and light spittle 2 minutes after pulling in under that carport.

Chuck in plenty of laughs, great country roads, some bumpy and arse-lifting backroads...yummy bacon+egg sangas at the Strath Creek store...the hot-air-balloon-tango of a Sunday morning in the Yarra Valley and a bag of other highlights and you've got yourself another Sunday that goes "straight to the poolroom".
A big thanks to Colin for getting us "all over the place" ...and home in the end...and a great tail-end-Charleyne holding it all together. Bonza job, guys!!

15 departed from Montrose into the wet roads of the valley.

Veom givin da directions. Aaaaaye.

Morning-tea at Strath Creek.

Gotta give the owners of the store due credit. To be honest my coffee was pretty crap but I didnít kick up a fuss Ė itís just a cuppa after all. When I returned my cup, Paul (?) asked how it was. I said it wasnít the best but still OK and left. Paul insisted on giving me my money back.

Heading towards the Highlands Road.

Coming down the Seymour side.

Some of the gang.

Trip distance: 378km for me.

You are quite right about the coffee, Tim. Looking at someone else's I asked for an extra shot, and to my knowledge, Paul didn't even charge me for it. That coffee was good!
Nice people, and they are trying very hard.

Thank you OpenRoadTourers for an excellent outing and great company!!!

Just look at those stilts raking 3ft forward...and STILL touching the ground!

We should send the guy with the white helmet and white BMW after him, I reckon!!
