turned onto Pori Road to ride it in the opposite direction than we have on our last few trips over it. The photo stop is still the same whichever direction you ride it in...

:chug:

before turning off onto Waiohoki Valley Road. ....
....Huia Road was more of the same and got us onto Spur Road which was generally in a similar condition except that it is a bit narrower and has tighter corners to contend with.

Awesome run, innit?

Marainaga Road was next

Dip south on the Sugarloaf Rd. maybe a couple of k's next time and take a slow gander at the "southern bit" of the Spur Rd.
It's an in+out and looks like a private drive to some buildings at the start, but climbs up the spur among the plantation timbers with superb, cleared lookouts to the coast.
Mind the deer up there :)

Glen brought some wool back from Tararua Road with him on his gear lever too

Sounds like it's rather the sheep for you lot :bs

Great stuff and thanks for the "take-along" :D

Karen - KTM 690
Chris - KTM 690
Jeff (or maybe Geoff) - Husky 701
Rowan - 700 Tenere
Chevvy - WR250R
Colin - WR250R
Me - WR250R

And as you can tell by extrapolating (or perhaps exaggerating) the data above, WR250R's were the most popular bike on the Dusty Butt...

Yeah, by a Bee's jandal :)
Good stuff, well written and an engaging read!!
Now, about that shot where the jandals go flying and Andrew goes arse-up
:bs
