Tibet is definitely not for the faint-hearted. The altitude is high, the conditions are harsh, the culture is different, and it is by no means a cruise. But the insight that one gains into Buddhism, Tibetan culture, and the magnificent views of this amazing landscape certainly outweighs the difficulties encountered. Your perspective, your appreciation of all things living becomes recalibrated -as if you had an epiphany.

Only looked at the first page so far :glu:glu , this needs some serious gawking-time.
Bikes or not, it's a spectacular part of the world that just about none of us will ever experience....thanks for the posts...pics!!!....and comments.

Pete,

They are not that different from the version you have seen previously - just a few more comments here and there, little more specific to MC community and might help others who are thinking doing the trip - wife wrote all the words in the picture and had family as audience in mind.

Just awesome, thanks for sharing.
Everest doesn't look that big in the pics however 3000 odd meters more to the summit makes one understand the scale of the place.:so :so

First class job Aaron (and Mrs. AceRider!).
Stunning photos and nice descriptive commentary on a troubled and enigmatic land that few among us will have the chance to visit.
