James Camping Reserve

Squizzy

Long Timer
Last few days of leave, bike fixed after last week's effort, off for a few days. James camping reserve was mentioned a while ago and it seemed to be a nice spot.
Weather was a bit crappy leaving Thursday morning.

Did not get any better through the spur.

Cleared up on the other side and turned off at Taggerty then to Rubicon and across to Eildon and along Skyline.

Went the dirt across to Bonnie Doon for lunch.

Then up to Swanpool, turn left and left again and along a quite good dirt road to the camping area.

Decided to stay on Friday and went for a walk for an hour or so.

Gnarly dirt road.

Nice one. I went past that James Reserve camping area a few months ago and remembered it. Such a picturesque spot by the river.

This is looking good!
Nice spot....and what a swag full of great rides around that area.
There's another great spot at Blue Range Creek, not far off the Mansfield-Whitfield Rd.
The creek would have some decent water in it at the moment, too.
Mt. Samaria would be a bit rough for the rig, though...

Got a couple of nice shots there, too :clap:
