Excellent photos and RR thanks.

What camera are you using?

Jeff

For this report a Panasonic FT 3 tough camera. Great camera as it is easy to use, small enough to fit in my pocket and tough enough that it does not need a case, can get wet or dusty or dropped etc.

For better bike trip photos I have a Panasonic LX5. Much nicer camera but needs a case, cannot fit in my pocket and needs to be treated with some respect.

I bought a DSLR a few months back but have not taken it out of the house. Too much effort to carry around (and to be honest I've yet to work out how to use it).

Thanks for the info on your cameras. It takes a good pic.

As they say, the best camera is the one you take with you and put to use. :D

I just checked Google Maps, that is a pretty isolated spot. Can you post your route "in" and "out" for us?

Just checked google maps. Wow we did go remote! The places you end up when you follow a Famous Rog.

We took the Rose River Rd from Cheshunt and then turned right at Rose River (Lake Cobbler is sign posted).

It was a surprisingly pretty spot. We are keen to overnight by the lake on a future ride.

I was looking at Google Maps too. At Cheshunt, if ya turn right and take the Upper King River Road you can end up at Lake Cobbler via Lake William Hovell, see here:

We commented on the Oz Day Weekend that LWH would be good spot for a weekend, but I've just checked http://www.kingvalleytourism.org.au/home/lake-william-hovell.html, it says "no camping".

Perhaps Lake Cobbler would be a good alternative, but it doesn't look CB friendly.
