A few CoVid soul-soothing days in Gippy.
no mobile reception no WiFi no TV or news no world chaos or farking politics some time on hand some $$ in pocket some paper maps some new hiking boots good talks and laughs with strangers in front of a Coonara up on the Grand Ridge Road. prime rainforest solitude From the ridges above Wonthaggi Foster beach Agnes Falls Home base for a couple of nights, and jeez, what a place ![]() ![]()

Balook....it's a bad place if you don't like GREEN!
...and an awesome spot if you love eye-popping 2-course gourmet breakfasts (Thomas, the Danish owner is a health-nut...apart from just being a nut ![]() ![]() The $20 food-feast includes a decent fresh-brewed coffee of your choice as well. Who woulda thought...in a place like that??
