What camera are you using? I had to ask after looking at the pictures you have posted. They all seem to be nice and crisp and clear. Cheers.

It's not the camera, I guess... It's the eyes:clap:!

Found someplace connected with magnetic fields and gravity, very interesting. Leaning towers, stars, universe, spinning things, magnets.

Wednesday 12 August

It rained overnight, heavy in the early hours and around daylight I found my $25 tent wasn’t coping, I was relatively dry but pools were forming and it wasn’t going to be long. I packed up between heavy showers; my morning coffee was going to have to wait. Just as I got the bike loaded one of the grey nomads brought me out a steaming cup. Nice guy, South African, but he wasn’t going to stand in the rain and chat.
No pictures today, camera stayed locked in a dry pannier except for the sunset at Shark Bay. Looks like I’ve got out of the rain.

Thursday 13 August.

A bit down today, just not the same energy to jump on the bike. This morning I found out that someone on HumanOne’s and Dogsbody’s (ADVrider) trip to Carmon’s corner and beyond, had been killed, no one knows who at this stage, just a post I’d seen on ADV. Pete had invited me to join them and boy was I tempted.

I planed to see the first feeding of the wild dolphins at Monkey Mire, I just got there for the last.

I had been worried about my rear tyre, the rubber notably disappearing each day and was shedding off like I had been carving up the Refton spur all day. Yesterday I picked one up in Carnarvon, I was worried about getting one at all further north and was carrying it along with my TKC.

As I fuelled before I turned off heading towards Mt Tom Price and the Karjini National Park, I spied a tyre-changing machine in their workshop. I just needed the bead breaker, I told him, I could do the rest. The ram on the bead breaker wouldn’t extend and was told you had to put your foot on it but it had so many air leeks it wasn’t helping at all. I continued with the job, at least they had an air compressor. I broke the bead by walking around the tyre using the heals of my boots, it pays off sometimes, to be a fat bastard.

This looks better.

Headed into Karjini National Park, someone had told me to take the second road into the park. In I went and registered and did 30 something km of bad corrugations only to come out on a sealed road just before the campsite. Turns out I took the wrong road.

More to come . . .
