It does not look to bad in the metal, yeah I've already had a sneak peek .
I did get a suitably unimpressed reply when I hinted that his wheels might mysteriously change from black to silver .

When the time comes, we'll have a bucket of matt-black and a dunny-brush ready to paint your wheels, mate....isn't it funny that when all the wheels were black we were slobbering over pics of Stroms which had the wheels painted silver (or stripped to the alum)...now that the wheels are silver.....arghhhhh

Glitch,

glad your front end is getting close to where u want it - speaking from experience - u can keep mucking around it for years before a perfect setting can be found.

something to ponder while u r building a new shriek:

biggest complaint about Vstrom for off-road duties inevitably comes down to the low "ride over" clearence issue. i have been studying the exhaust layout - could it not be fabricated so that it runs from the exhaust along the right hand side, kind of next to the sump and left to right foot peg.

The exhaust bracket from engine would need to be fabricated and better placed. And i know know what the exhaust flow tubelance would be like?

If the exhaust can be run along like that, that's at least 40mm increase in clearance - while still not dirt-bike - it is a lot better?

am i missing something here?

aaron
