Default Mussel hunting on the Mornington Peninsula

(Note the spelling Glitch. While you were chasing some upper body strength or something I was after the food. )

I think that this was going to be a coffee stop but the shop owners had the temerity to be closed!

We did eventually get to Flinders beach courtesy of the walking GPS. Looks like others may have had the same idea.

But the Mussel man was there and quite happy to relieve us of our hard earned in exchange for a plate of just harvested this morning goodness.

after lunch we followed the human GPS to Koonya Ocean beach to take in the view

and have a chat

before having a last look at the sights and heading home

Overall I can't actually think of a better way to spend such a nice New Years day.
Thanks for the company people.

Looks like it was a great day for a ride. I was stuck at work earning petrol money. One of these days I'll get around to taking one of the bikes out of the garage. It's been a while.

Not much to add.

Harrys muscles...ahhhh, mussles... alone were worth the ride.
Pulled out of the water in the morning, cooked a few hours later right there in his little van.
Always call before turning up, he's only ever cooking up when there isn't more important work to be done "on the water".
Details on his FB page

Not a bad start to 2019

Xmas, summer, holidays...the Peninsula was packed (as expected).

Requiring a red marker for a proper visit at quieter times:
The St. Andrews Beach Brewery, a brandnew and pretty sizeable affair.

Where ? Sandy Rd. at Fingal, right near Gunnamatta Surf Beach. https://goo.gl/oqU9wV
What? https://www.standrewsbeachbrewery.com.au/the-brewery
Food offered: Yes
Pricing: https://www.standrewsbeachbrewery.co...website2-1.pdf

Thanks for a good day out in PERFECT weather

Walking GPS, over and out
