No, it's not my trip! But I came across this ride report on pashnit.com, and thought it was worth sharing.

It runs to 13 pages, but the photography alone justifies this. The author spent a month taking his GoldWing through some stunning scenery, and he's a fine photographer. Definitely worth a look if you've ever thought of touring the Western states of the USA.

The 13 pages only run as far as Day 20, but who cares - check it out and start planning your trip... :D

Thanks for the link, superb pics and what a write-up....what a ride !!
Looks like the Wing is just the right tool for the job, too...or something like it.
Some stunning countryside....just all the bends are missing :lol: :lol:

I could never imagine owning a Wing, but it'd be great to hire one for a trip like that (if in fact it's possible to hire them).

No probs there...but bike-hire in the US is prohibitively expensive.
Even mid-range bikes like a 650Strom are US$180/ day incl. comp insurance (when I last stumbled across a Californian mob a few months back).

Oh to be a bike journo, and cadge free bikes from test fleets!
