From little things, big things grow.

Be a pleasure to have you along Brian.

I'll start looking at when I can get time off.

And If we were to go as far as Quilpie............?

what's the deal with the "farRide" then?

set distance in limited time? set place & see who does furthest?

spa treatment at the end of a ride sounds like a good idea, I'll have to bear that in mind...hmmm...

A FarRide is in this instance a Ride To Eat and is a minimum 1000k ride in 24hrs to get there or there & back.
A few of us on here are FarRiders as well.
Cheers Brian

Christ, I'd have to change bike or arse to do that!
600k is pushing the limits of what I can put up with in a day. Having said that, it's possibly easier to to do 1000k in 24hrs in a big country with huge open spaces (Oz, US, SA etc) than in europe where you have to go through towns or villages every 5 minutes. A 1000k day, another one to add to the list.

That's a very good question. I've noticed some ride reports here which are just copy-paste from reports that have been written for other forums, which reference individuals, events or 'in-jokes' which are unknown in this forum. It'd be nice if such reports were 'localised' for this forum for want of a better word and some background info given where necessary to provide some context.
