Whoohoo!!
What a ripper weekend this turned out to be.
Going by how things went, there'll be another one of those next year..and we'll make SURE there's more time available than this time around.
Hopefully it'll be either in Bright again....or a similar location.

In hindsight I'm regretting not having been able to be in Bright for the whole shebang....'cause it'd been bloody worth it.
Most of the movies and presentations were of the "NOT TO BE MISSED" !! kind....the consequent talks given by the film-makers and travellers were outstanding!!!
:clap::clap::clap:

Having the Bright Brewery as the hub of the whole event was a stroke of genius!!
Particularly on a series of hot days like this...the Touratech/ Triumph and Safari tent was going full tilt all weekend, the late movie on the grass along the riverbanks attracted not only the Adventure-junkies, but the general public in serious numbers as well....you know things are pretty damn good when dozens get onto their feet hollering and clapping while the credits are still rolling.

With folks riding, driving and flying in for the event from all over AUS it was no surprise that the place was humming!! The chairs outside the brewery turned "musical" on an ever-rotating basis, great to see so many known faces, and lots more new ones.

Had some black clouds and a few tiny spittles on the way home....chasing a bunch of roadies up Mt. Hotham was extra-fun....the Dargo HP road turned out pretty rocky at both ends at the moment, with the center-15km quite good and quick.

Some outstanding backroads running parallel to the Princess Hwy through the Latrobe Valley ended in a re-discovery of an old, but forgotten gem :glu, not just a great piece of road but offering fantastic views on top.

Thanks to Kiwi (Richard) and Rohan (a Bright-"pickup") on his Tiger for a thoroughly enjoyable day, good riding and the patience to let me check the maps a few times.... :chug::chug:
Where do I sign for next year?

Only got a couple of pics, will put them up later/ tomorrow.

Thanks for coming along, mate.
By some reports, it was bucketing up at Hotham a little lateron....looks like we picked the perfect time and juuust made it through with those 3 drops we've had.
Getting all that sunshine while cruising the North-Gippy backroads was a bonus :so

What a show eh! Can't wait till next year.

Located at a brewery was an inspired choice.:chug:

From a Guzzi that looked like it was out of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome to glitering Aussie custom stroms in green and gold and a leopard print DRZ400 and ordinary people doing extraordinary things and filming them for your entertainment.

It spins me out how someone can decide to do a 9 month (it ended up taking 2.5 years) horse trek from Mongolia to Europe and in the middle of organising it next item to attend to is ...learning to ride a horse...:wow:

Sounds like yuse guys and gals had a good weekend, and now I'm sorry I missed it. I'll just have to be a little more committed next year.

And by the past 24 hours weather, it looks like Thor has been kind to you, or you are just lucky.

Brewery. What Brewery?

Grrreat ride home guys.

What a great looking beer.:bees:

Nice to catch up with evryone and meet a few new faces. Would have liked to spend more time just socialising but the agenda was so packed we didnt have time and we didnt want to miss anything.
Was a bit disspointed that the organisers didnt allow any time for breaks so we could sample some of the local cusine. The chook shop did well out of us though.

An inspiring weekend though. Great time.

Okay my turn.

With Tim C just before Alexandra. The only stop between Lindt Hot Chocolate in Kallista and lunch in Whitfield.

I reckon that the Whitty burger may rival the Buxton burger.

Lake Buffalo was looking good.

so was the Mount

I still have no idea where this story that a brewery was involved came from

but whatever it was it was a pleasant place on Friday night

then we went to the outdoor movies

and learnt something we didn't know
