I can't see that view often enough...still a bit of snow around the tops there, too.

We rode through Fairlie/Bourkes Pass last week on a warm sunny morning, two days later they had snow in the town and many inland towns around there, and several months worth of rain on the west coast on one day, which has closed Hwy 87 because a section of it has been washed away.

Yeah, that was that front coming through.
Washed away a bridge on Hwy73 as well (Arthurs Pass-> Westcoast), I think it's still closed while they try to rig up a temp-fix.
