There was only one cure for the PMS I'd been suffering...

...on the road by half seven.

Over the gap.

And the smoke haze from the controlled burns was even worse.

Towards Jingellic and it was starting to clear.

A left turn, another climb and I was on the planes.

It didn't take long for my GSA to find its nature habitat....:killingme

Just as I was about to leave, I discovered main street had been closed for the Anzac Day march. I joined the few other by-standers to cheer on the dozen or so veterans who the pipers led up then back main street Tumbarumba.

Lucky it was a sub 20km back track to find it. Even luckier it was still there - as there was $$$$ in tools, glasses, electronics, my lunch inside.

Nice spot for a late lunch.

A fast blast back to Myrtle via Cudgewa, Koetong, Tallangatta, Kiewa, Allans Flat etc etc.

Trip distance: 688km

I did battle with crowds around the Dandenongs like I have never seen before yesterday. Every carpark at every park, picnic spot or shopping area was filled to overflowing with queues waiting for anybody to leave. Cars were parked in ditches (literally) beside roads, No stopping signs we completely ignored and it was bedlam in the area.
I think it's time to start looking at realestate.com.au for places closer to SF if that is what the traffic conditions in the area are like. :D

Don’t believe everything you see on the internet.

The north east has its own traffic and over crowding, I mean sometimes on my 80km to work I have to travel at less than 110kmh and get this...there may be one car ahead of me if I get stopped at the only traffic lights on my travels.....:killingme

There goes my illusions of an idyllic country lifestyle. What is the ADV riding in Tonga like?
