Default JohnnyRep's Alpine Adventures

I got back last night,it was so hot it was melting my military survival water bottles and I saw one bike the heat had melted the body plastic, you couldn't touch my seat with a bare hand.
Nice was the worst hot and humid and very uncomfortable.

you are definitely going at the right time all the locals told me come in September the traffic was diabolical never go in August its frustrating at times with all the car and campervans.

I still had a blast though and found great roads and places to see and places to stay.

just a few pics to whet your appetite

if I recommended one place to go it would be the Gorges du Verdon

words and photos don't do it justice,I found a fantastic Gite at the top of the Gorge cheap, comfortable and a view to die for and you can watch the massive vultures fly over head.

Whoohoo
To find all THIS tucked onto a big, old thread and leaving it to wither there, looked like a shame.
Hope you don't mind that I started a new thread in the ride-reports with those posts.

Want a name-change, let me know, I can re-title the thread to whatever you like.
Those shots certainly make the drool run
Got some more?
