...when folks (Greg on the Husky) ride the 70km from Dandenong to the meeting place just to say "Merry Christrmas!!"

....or Steve clocks a cool 100k's from Drouin, just for a couple of hours of company :bow::bow:

...when there's sparkling sunshine, blue skies and the city-skyline piercing the clear morning-skies...




...and Steve gives you The Bird





...when there's tiny, hidden singlelaners on offer....






....when decisions are agonizing about which road to take...





....and contortions are needed to "get the bastard around that bend, hooray!!








...when there's not another single soul around to spoil your fun














....and you leave the "big smoke" and all your worries behind...

...and backroads just "grow" out of the paddocks....














...when a tiny country store just overflows with friendly service and knocks up some First-Class steak-sangas....just AFTER they cleaned the grill!!

Thanks to Steve, Greg, Squizzy, Jim on the DR-rig, Ant (on new hoops, yeeha!!) and , as always, Goodie, for a fantastic Xmas Day out in the sticks.
It was a pearler!

And boy, I saw some new roads as well, some of which will make it into the "regular program"!!

And glad to finally having done that "Dry Weather Road Only"....it'd be most likely a no-no again today, after all that rain we had last night.

I got there a bit early, so took some shots at the tower.

At the end of Beales Rd


Jim looked like he had fun.


And this is where we went.


I dont know where you went on the way home Pete, the the tar seemed very boring, so I went back down Beales Rd and then across to St Andrews and then Buttermans Track to Yarra Glen which is sealed for a few k on the Yarra Glen side now. Less dirt for us. Thanks again and have fun tomorrow.
