Grass hasn't grown yet just after the snow-melt, so it's all as short as it was after the last mowing in Sept/ Oct.
The valley floor of the Upper Engadine Valley (St. Moritz etc) is above 1800m asl...not much short of the top of Mt. Kosciusko.
Which makes all those mountains in the background....3000m (10.000ft) plus.
Grass doesn't grow fast at those altitudes, either.

Pretty sure?
Make that CERTAIN!

@Rudi
THANKS for that "Alpine Infusion", mate...it always brings brings back that whoozy feeling in the gut and endless memories of those places visited on the Tornanti-Rides.
GREAT shots

Hope you guys didn't get hit too hard by the massive rains, floods and destruction yesterday... it seemed to concentrate a bit further to the north, though.

Rudi, those photographs are amazingly good. WOW.
I particularly like Lake Silvaplana. Simply breathtaking views.

Hi,

thanks for the answers!

Yeah it's a beautiful landscape in Switzerland.
I like it every time I've been there - seldom enough!

Best regards
Rudi
