Is this the road which comes out right near the Dixons Creek store ? Last time I went down there it was signposted as a no through road from the Steels Creek side, but there was no sign of any reason why.

Yo, Hunts Lane.
Skirts the carpark of the former Dixons Ck store/ now cafe/grill/pizza joint.
Actually, going by the amount of cars on that carpark at just about anytime it might be worth stopping there for a nibble

You're right, it's been signed as no-through...then the signs disappeared for a couple of years or so...now there are some 4WD-only signs right at the bottom of that short, steeeep hill.
Funnily, no signs at all at the Steels Ck end.
There's another possible crosscut a little further to the north, but that looks like a no-through due to running across private land. Gotta check that out another day.

Helen & I lunched at the café / grill a few weeks ago on the way home from Goughs Bay. Very nice lunch, I had the beef ribs with salad (that was a bit bland) and chips, filled the plate, couldn't finish it all - at around $22 it was good value.

Service was excellent.
