On A Strom!!

They can weld steel with the standard lights.

You should see what they can weld with a couple of 4" HIDs. With standard Strom highbeam I can identify an object off the side of the road about 2 seconds ahead (at 100kph). With the HIDs I can distinguish between a stump and a wallaby about 4-5 seconds ahead.

See this thread.

(I had just wired the lights up and welded up the mounting bracket I was road testing so the lights weren't aimed properly. I have them aimed further down the road now, and both aimed further outwards, to show less of the road and more of the sides of the road).

The 650 Strom is handicapped by the limited extra power available for things like lights, so the LEDs are the best bang for your buck(or watt).

A lot of the FarRiders have extra lights.

Took a photo of this one at the recent Nambucca FarRide:

(he's added more since).

Cheers!
