Well, in comparison to the dusties we roadies seemed to have an almost boring weekend ride with no breakdowns, run ins with the law, falls, crashes, illness or requirements for strenuous exertion simply to make it up the hill….

The dusties report is here http://austouring.com/forum/showthread.php?p=55591#post55591

Thanks to Glitch for leading the dusties, Tammy/Jason for carting supplies and everyone who kicked in and participated throughout the weekend.

Not a lot of photos along the way this time from me, my KTM and I were busy making noise playing rabbit for a race of Fireblades/hypersports. This weekend, the rabbit won…..:bs

Let’s get this report underway.

Hopefully, the weather improves over the hills.

First regroup after Poweltown.

Lisa did a sterling job as sweep rider all weekend.

Morning tea at Mt Baw Baw.

We’ve come to clean ze pool…. :killingme

Down the hill and a short cut through to fuel at Trafalgar.

Wasn't that Willow Grove Rd. a cracker?
Trying to make up for lost time we took the twisties instead of the dirt of the Vesper rd.....and had the whole thing to ourselves.:woot:

MAGIC! And for once it was fairly clean, too:clap:

Another backroad to a different ridgeline.

We arrived at the Thorpdale Bakery about an hour after the dusties had left.

It was a good thing they’d restocked, the pies proved popular. :glu

Up the hill to Mirboo North then down to Boolara then up then down…

And soon we arrived at Yanakie.

The view from my cabin.

Everyone seemed to settle in real quick…

It wasn’t long until the dusties arrived.

Solving the problems of the world over a beverage or two and a mountain of food…. :chug:

Come to Australia they said, take a trip into the country they said, meet the locals they said… :killingme

A fairly early night for most as a big day of riding was scheduled for Sunday.

We started with a ride out to Tidal River before stopping at the hill above Toora.

Some back roads led us to lunch at Yarram.

Where we plotted the remainder of the ride.

Up n over the hill to Traralgan.

Before drinks at Walhalla.

Who would have ever guessed, fuel became a bit of an issue when we were caught out in that Rawson no longer has a functioning petrol station.

Oh well, let’s roll the dice… :killingme

Onto Thompson Dam.

Into Moe for fuel. And then the final run back into town via the Warburton Valley.

Trip distance: 867km for me.
