i look into the Alpenbikerforum every day and wait and wait and wait....
hopfully to see the pictures... and there is nothing
not contemplated to look here

And now I have had a nice evenig!!
It was a special time with yourselve. Unforgettable.
But I will never change my bike but for a bigger one. You remember I'm a rocker and can't ride by BMW
with a tourer can everybody ride twists
It was great and I will spend more time the next time. Mayby I lend an other bike at a pinch.
And now I wait for the episodes.

Looks like another perler of a day coming up
….even the jox and sox dried through the night. Good news for all of us.
Going “light” today, the mob pulling up at the hotel opposite last-night’s “Feast-HQ” for the advertised E6/A$10 breakfast. It’s still early…the deserted main street tells the time.
And brecky turns out to be another “battle”…the buffet is loaded with anything imaginable…incl. Speck 'n eggs!!....
Not for long, though! We clear the trays…
Direction Vrsic for the start….just look at THAT water under the Soca bridge!!
Up it goes then, the 1000m+ climb is well sealed, the road is a gem, the scenery just as stunning as yesterday. Again, there’s the feeling of being in a special place.

Into Kranjska Gora, dropping one load of coffee while filling up with another.
Nice place, excellent brew.
5k’s down the main road is Dovje, a small village…. right opposite, in Mojstrana, the narrow road leading into town splits 3 ways…. just around the corner another 3-way split. Shit!!
We follow one of the little singlelaners and finish up back on the highway 2k’s further east.
Let’s try it again then!!
Back into Mojstrana…and there’s a little sign to Radovna…the sign only shows when coming from the other direction.
All good then…it’s onto the gravel road which winds and curls through small farms, “picturesque!!” is an understatement.
Dave, Tim and Marty are smacking their chops…GRAVEL!!
The gray stuff flies…and they’re gone!
Then into the bush-section and there’s the old, long-abandoned mill I’d read about.
Autumn has certainly arrived…

We follow the river towards Bled.
Bled!! …summer resort, fairly touristy through the season…and oh so well known for its incredibly pretty setting. It’s sure made it onto the international travel-show charts; even “Getaway” in Oz had a story on it not all that long ago.
Now the tourist season’s over, the locals are coming out again, the single coach full of oldies pulls out…and the place is ours.

The lake, the old castle…the white church across the glassy water, the boats, the colours, the rugged peaks of the Triglav mountains as a backdrop…it’s just about too much for one place to hold it all.
Eventually we have to tear ourselves away, backtrack a few k’s to Krnica, then run west, up the hills.
A good, new-ish road climbs some foothills, a couple of tornantis, and then through the broken forest for a while…the going gets quicker…until all of a sudden this “Highway” ends at a brand-new shooting range right in the middle of the woods!
Some barracks on the right, but nothing apart from that.
Looks like there’s going to be some sporting-event going to happen soon….for the time being, we have to turn around, there was some little turn-off about 4k’s back.
Some kilometers of what could be a typical dirt road-through-Aussie-bush, then the greenery gives way to a landscape that could best be described as Lake Bled without the actual lake.
It’s PERFECT…this can only be a movie stage-set!!
