The only time I've had to deal with RACV for an out of town issue (when my Vstrom left me stranded in West Wyalong) the RACV person I was dealing with let me just arrange my own way home (bus to Cootamundra, train to Broadmeadows and a taxi home from there) and I posted them the receipts and they sent me a cheque for the total amount. Because I booked my own train ticket I treated myself to a first class seat on the train rather than economy :) and I told them what the economy fare would have been but they paid me back the first class fare.

I feel your pain, waiting on the side of the road is no fun.
My mechanic wont let me take it anywhere else, he's a gumpy old bastard that you can't hurry and will only do any work when he feels like it.
Ill have to give myself a talking to she's due her 160,000 service :bang:

Headed out for a Mt Hotham-Omeo-Mitta loop with a border based sports bike group.

Roads were in good condition and other than the gridlock at Omeo petrol station, there was very little traffic around.
