Default Oh boy...Rob Roy

With only a few hours to spare on Sunday morning, a hopeful weather forecast of at least some dry time before the next "Low from the South", the Vintage Car Hill-Climb at Rob Roy seemed a good idea
http://mgcc.com.au/robroy/

Where's Rob Roy? Just off the Eltham Rd./ Clintons Rd. in the Christmas Hills in Melbourne's North https://goo.gl/maps/WJKJs

Taking the long way around on the Husky after a bit more tinkering over the last couple of weeks...early morning fog in the Yarra Valley.

Wandin's cherry trees have decided that spring isn't far off...

After checking out a few more little dirt roads above Yarra Glen, it's west via the Buttermans and Spanish Gully to the Rob Roy Ridge, checking for activities.
And down at the hill-climb, it's all castor oil and Castrol.

Ohhh, them days when cars had "faces"...and 4wheeled dreams had shapes!!

A "Smiley-Riley"....sweet.

Pommy-Power

The WRX of the early '70s, Lancia Fulvia

Looks like KTM had enough of Fuzzy's warranty claims...back-to-basics wheels for the 2016 Eleven-Ninety?

Just beautiful!

The custom '57 Cooper of Lex Davison built around a supercharged Vincent twin by no other than Phil Irving.
What a GEM!!
And does it make some N O I S E ??

Just fingerlickin', this thing!

Back to that Cooper....Mama, what a piece of work!!

In the paddocks...

Plenty of kids around for the soapbox race, too.
"When I grow up..."

Always thought they only ever made kitchen appliances...

There's that HRD-rocket again...
Check out the officials...and this is just idling waiting for the lights!!!
Opening the taps drops the birds outta the skies for 3k's all around, yeeha!!

Trying to shake that noise out of the body, it's another stroll through the paddock.

The full-house of Jaeger and Smiths clocks...

"Does my bum look big in this?"

Who needs scoops and all that plastic shit?

Castrol + Castor...no shortage of punters.

Can't help myself...that Vincent/ Cooper has cast a magic spell on me...

Harley + Davidson must've felt the same way....they're still running that sorta suspension nowadays, aye?

Let's grab the old sofa and go to the Drive-Ins tonight?

Maybe not...

Not much about riding and roads this time....but a wide smile on the dial on the way home.
Cheerio!

That HRD is a logo I recognise from looking at old things in Motorcycle museums.
