Due to some form of brain failure, possibly caused by insufficient
motorcycling, I decided to join the Jamieson lunch run 3 weeks
Went to alexandra via Kinglake West and Yea, arrived dead on
10:45. Had coffee and hedgehog. No sign of group of course,
Ate about a third of a nasty steak sandwich at the Jamieson pub
(should have gone to brewery) then continued through Gaffneys
Creek, A1 mine and Woods Point.
Woods Point to Marysville was slow going, with frequent
patches of wheel-swallowing potholes. Taking it easy being alone
and without the spot. The amount of damage The Bogan does to
the surrounding countryside with its 4wd is incredible.
Continued on to visit a friend at Chum Creek.
Left at dusk and noticed potential Al-Quaeda suicide wallabies
hopping about. I had intended to go via Yarra Glen, but having
tangled previously with one of these vicious monsters I slabbed
it back along the Maroondah and Eastlink.
Quite enjoyed the ride without having to keep up with a group.
Distance 470 km, average speed - embarrasing, fuel economy -

Thanks for posting Max.
For a good steak, try the Woods Point pub. Helen still rates the steak she had their around five years ago, as the best she has ever had.

I did Jamieson to Warburton a few weeks ago, loved Gaffney's Creek and A1. I was quite drained from that ride as I went around Lake Eildon Pippen Point side as well. Heaps of pot holes and wet clay on the hill tops.
