So next morning I was up early for a big day from Coonabarabran to Myrtleford.
Soon as I poked my head out the window, that plan was momentarily dashed.

The 6 am out the door plan was in dissaray.

The radar showed a big storm that would pass within 2 hours, so more strolling the streets of Coonabarabran was in order.
The Bakery was the only place open, so I ducked in for a coffee and a bun.

No argument from me!

I eventually hit the road and didn't stop until I saw a driver reviver caravan, so I pulled in for a cuppa and a biscuit.
Just as well as I was starting to see thing's, like a Frog riding a bicycle.

One of the great old buildings that are still in service to the local community.

That evening we were dining out in Yakandandah,

Time for a stroll around town.

I didn't last too long before retiring for the evening
After a hearty breakfast I set off through the King Valley.
It was the last day of 2017 and I had a few hundred k to do before home.
The weather God's were smiling.
What a perfect day.

And I arrived safely home in time to go out for a New Years dinner.

The dream was alive and well, with a BMW shop right across the road.
I was just picking at my food.

Ah Melbourne, it was good to be home.

Total km's was just over 4100.
The Rockster was pretty good on fuel returning around 20 km per l.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat, just, not now!

Thanks for reading!

Hi Doug, good read. The 1150's are a great bike, effortless touring in top gear. Glad you had a great trip. Cheers Ian
