Beautiful area!!
And the bush seems alive with colour, some sweet views, too.
I remember a gravel road a bit further to the west from ?? Moogara to Judbury??? I think?
Tassie-Dave lead us through on the way to Huonville.
Can't seem to find it on Gmaps now. Certainly wasn't as bombed out as Jeffreys!

(which btw also attracted a grading3 like Ben Lomond etc in the ADV-guide )

Good to see no damage came from the drop.
Get yourself a flip-tip aftermarket lever to make sure you don't get stuck one of those days.

Could be a link from Glenfern Road (or Plenty Valley Road) to Judd's Creek Road.

Not sure if it's just my fitness level at the moment, lack of riding and skill or tyres or all of the above, but that felt more "level 3" than 2. Nothing we did in NZ or Tas (the M Roads or Jacobs or Mt Barrow - I have driven my road car up there) compared. I would not want to attempt again in the winter either with the above conditions as they are, especially not by my self. I feel sore today, but I'll probably be feeling it even more tomorrow. The pics just don't show how steep and how rough it is.

The drop was very low speed, almost a lay down really

What I absolutely should have done, was drop my tyre pressures down, would have made it a LOT softer. Ah well, If I can make it through with road biased tyres at road pressures then I'm not doing too bad!

Plenty Valley it was. The first half or so was along/ above a river, with a bridge over same lateron.
