Picked up the bike and took it for a warm up though the Tamar region for a few hours and approximately 170km

Picked up the bike and rode it home for lunch

Went down to the Batman Bridge for a few shots, unfortunately the autumn colours have faded here a fair bit

From Bonnie Beach

Rowella

I headed up the Asbestos Range. At the top of the road is a track off to the East that comes out at a logged clearing, overlooking the Tamar

There is a track from the left up to the right that I went up with the XT once.... never again! I chose the soft option back from where I'd come

View to Bell Bay where I work

Might as well head out to Narawntapu National Park to see if I could find some of these elusive wombats that cowered away from the mighty Birtles and a disappointed Bernard. Came around a corner...

Ok, deed done, back through the good bits of the Frankford Highway and over Holwell Road. The friendly farmer

Then home to the beach

Now the shed is getting a little bit cosy, but the mower has some support against the Yamahas and Kawasaki!

It was supposed to be for the TE630, and was a fair bit cheaper than the one for the Terra. They still had a couple in the shop. So it is factory, yeah. I work at the Manganese smelter Temco

Yeah, I reckon it is, but Husky wanted $320 for the OEM Terra bag! Needs a plate to make it sit back a touch further for easier access to the seat, or just unclip the two front straps

I got a little bit adventurous yesterday, probably a little too much, considering I don't have a bash plate on the bike yet (B&B on order)

Headed out the Biralee Road almost to Westbury, ubolt at the roundabout, then Selbourne Road, Four Springs Road. Decided to see where the road past the lake went, so instead of taking the turn off to the boat ramp, I headed straight until the road degraded into a track. I thought I might be able to get back to the boat ramp when I started heading down the hill towards the lake. I said to myself, "You bloody idiot, why did you come down here?"

It was rocky and rough, but mostly bigger rocks sticking out of the worn down track. Got to the bottom of that and a hundred metres further there was a tree down across the track, forcing me to retrace, up the hill...

I've mentioned I don't have a bash plate yet, yeah? All I was thinking was "Concentrate, don't stop, don't drop it, don't go too fast".:endu

Thankfully made it back up without smacking anything :p

Was not thinking that stopping to take a photo of the track would be a good idea!

But I did get a few just after I turned around. the hill is around the corner

Back to where the tree was

Down to the lake

You know what that all means....you've gotta ride every day now and post up pretty pics and maps and quirky bits of places near and far!!:clap:

And thanks for the wombat pic....Bernard was uttering some strong doubts about the existence of the little fat, furry blobs in Tassie, after not seeing any up at Asbestos.

They most probably saw Birtles coming and got the fright of their lives.

Bike's looking schmick, mate!!:clap::clap:
