After a night in Inverell, I was heading to the coast via the Oxley highway. As fortune would have it the highway was closed for repairs and a nice 45 km detour through Bulga Forest ,through Elands and on to Comboyne before dropping down into Port Macquarie Ellenborough Falls was a highlight of the detour.

Looks like you finally licked that slow-leaking front hoop then :)

The rain had returned by Port Maquirie. I packed up my wet tent and headed south. Stopping at Naidoc's motorcycle museum for a trip down memory lane. What a place to spend an hour or so. Then it was through the outskirts of Sydney and down into Woolongong. Wet as, and you can stick Sydney wherever you want. It's a busy place.

It ain't called Shitney by the locals for nothing...and that goes for the city, airport, road-network and all else.
Best dodged by Wollombi-> Mogo Creek -> St. Albans -> Wisemans -> River Road -> Portland Ferry -> Colo -> Mountain Lagoon> Bells Line -> Mt. Victoria -> Jenolan Caves and Shooters Hill into the Abercrombie etc. for the track south (great country stuff between the Abercrombie Caves and Yass)

The Weather was getting better from Woolongong as I headed down the coast. Decided to camp at Tathra. The Big 4 holiday park relieved me of a wad of cash, in return for a spot of grass.

some of those waterfalls off the Northern Tablelands are pretty epic.

Wollongong!!!

Sorry for the correction but I lived there for five years so this spelling always triggers me. Nice place.
