Holy schmokes!:chug:

This was one hell of a "Bayles"!
Looks like last years Covid-cancellation has doubled the numbers, the egg/ bacon rolls had gone half an hour into the event I was told, snags were sold out by 11.30, the guy from the coffee van was pinching water from the stand-by fire truck and general traffic on the main road was trickling at 10kmh.

It was PACKED! It was Big...and it had a LOT of new bikes and faces.

Sorting pics now...

Thanks for a great ride today Pete and Capt Spock. Some magnificent bikes at Bayles today I was happy with the dash cam footage I got on the ride. Early night for me and look at some photos in the next day or so. Cheers

A great autumn day ride today. Having never been to one of these meets before I wasn’t sure how many bikes there would be. But man, there were a lot of people and bikes out there. I am not a vintage bike buff and I don’t dig old bikes but I found a number of interesting looking motorcycles. Some I didn’t know existed until today....

I found Pete’s GPS system - never runs out of battery apparently.

The first bike at the show that got my attention.

The Yellow on this Norton :glu

I don’t know what bike this is, but it looked cool

What is a Douglas? Never heard of it before. Nor had I heard of Bimota or Laverda before today. :D:D

This Ducati looks cool

This Honda was mint.

This postie bike got a lot of attention

Including our very own Pete and Ian

Here’s a bunch of other bike pictures that I took.

How good is this Red?

Lots of Ducatis

A nice RPM dial..

What is a Laverda? :bs

On the way back from Bayles, Pete took us through some nice gravel roads before we went through Bunyip State Forest

We walked 500m to this lookout with big rocks...

Special thanks to the folks at TOMCC for organising a great event. I had some nice sausages before they ran out of them and also bought a club tshirt.

An excellent day all round. Thanks again Pete and Ian for company.

Same here!
And thanks to both of you for a truly enjoyable day which even decided to come up with that golden autumn light at the end!

You mean ...the backup?
Naw, that one doesn't either :bs:thumbs:

Nor does it need a PIN, login, GPX file or swipe-card :killingme

Some neat pics there, yayy!

Douglas was one of the many English motorcycle manufacturers which popped up in the early days of motorcycling. Probably the most famous Douglas motorcycle was the one (probably the same model as the 1931 in your photo) which was ridden around the world by Robert E. Fulton Jr, in 1932-33.

He wrote a book about his travels "One Man Caravan" and also made a movie of his trip which is released as "Twice Upon a Caravan".

A few from me, sidecar related of course, although Captn Spock does have his doubts about the use of such a vehicle :p

Yes, some nice pics, thanks for sharing.

And the clarity of the Captn's pics is something else.

:glu

Pete can't get that quality pic on his GPS system, aye!
