Home around 4:00pm, managed to avoid rain until less than 1km to home, but enough to get really wet anyway.

Thanks for the company and chin wag last night fellas. Spock, don't forget to posty our pics.

Everyone else, stand by for all the BS about how much mud there was on Mt Samaria, each time the story was last night told it was getting muddier and muddier.

+1 :clap::chug:
Thanks for helping out everywhere and making things easy (even when lots of the plans had to be re-jigged ad-hoc)

Will check through my stash of shots tonight, there will be the one or other pearler!

Yeah, TONS of mud, flaming quicksand....AND the Tsunami tidal wave in the Lanky Creek crossing at Delatite this morning!!

And that was just the window dressing, caught out Willo chewing the ears of some innocent passers-by at the Delatite Pub in Mansfield , too :so:killingme

Thanks to all and a thumbs up to the Merrijig Motel coming up with enough beds to house the Russian Army.

Excellent weekend. Good to see the amount of snow at Mt. Buller, glad we didn't go. Nice pick Pete. Thanks for everyone's company, and for Pete for organizing. We should try next time for the middle of winter, probably get better weather :D

A few from me.

The only time I saw Marty was when we stopped to eat. Followed him at a distance for the rest of the time.

Cloud still there today.

I think Pete has a list of these roads and keeps them for special weekends.

Re: "Vic Targa '21"....April 10+11

Great weekend all. I had an awesome time. Best picture I took on the ride is below.

I thought I had a perfect weekend until I took a little detour and laid the bike down in some grass on the side of the road.

On the most unlikeliest of spots, on the final stretch of Melba highway (between Yea and Yarra Glen), it would seem that I hit some oil on the road...the Tiger lost its rear, fishtailed a bit, then regained traction - I got control of the bike - for a moment I thought I could just ride it in the grass and rejoin the road :D. But it happened too quickly and I came off - albeit the grass slowed the fall quite a bit.

I am perfectly fine and uninjured; bike is remarkably unscathed - just had a loose mirror, bent fog light case and some scratches on the exhaust. Nothing broke. Will wash the bike tomorrow to get all the dirt out and reassess. Thanks Ian and Pete for helping out :)

None the less, a great weekend and caught up with long time forum members.

Earlier in the day, we had some great views...

Oh man, some sweet shots up already.:glu

I'll get to it later today.

Made a new thread out of this, the original was just getting too confusing and jumbled.

Hi Doug, it was actually dusty in a few spots on the weekend, my excuse for hanging back anyway. And then raining and foggy, perfect.

It's actually Captain Spock, he has been promoted.

And how did you manage to miss this weekend of fun and happiness? Lucky enough to be working or did you have a long range weather forecast you kept to yourself?

See you on the next one. Cheers Ian
