Gave the DRz a run this time.



Some dirt roads across to Murrindindi.



Falls Creek Rd across to Black Range Rd.

An interesting parking option along the way.



Back along Old Toolangi Dixons Creek Rd, always a nice spot for a photo.



About 160ks, home for lunch. Good day.

Looking at those shots...I'm starting to get homesick now.
Also getting bike-sick looking at the increasing number of bikes on the roads here, now that the rain has stopped and the sun is out.

Today I saw this crazy warning in a small town near a river.
It means: Warning - low flying storks.

Short ride today on the R80. First pillion for Lynne in over 2 years. Sidecar is much easier, but we thought we give the bike a run. Perfect weather, a bit windy, but we survived. Couple of hours, 120ks. Hurstbridge, St Andrews, Kinglake, Toolangi, home. All good. Cheers.

No Tooradin Thursday this week for me, Wednesday ride with Melb Ulysses. Only 5 of us, and no hot shots wanting to pass all the time, so a good ride down to Garfield for morning tea then through the hills to Grantville for lunch. Then home through Emerald. Around 320ks, had a little nap when I got home around 4.30

Tried mounting the topbox back on the standard rack with a bit of reinforcement, allows me to carry heavy bits on the pillion seat area, just lunch and discarded clothing in the box. Not 100% happy as yet, but I shall continue to strive for perfection, or not

Reefton Spur, Black Spur today. Reefton was good, no traffic to speak of other than the standard sports bike off. Didn't look too bad, there were 7 of them gathered around so I didn't stop. Nothing I could add to help.

Black Spur was a procession, about 10 cars in front and a similar number behind. Nice day for a ride anyway.

Early finish to watch Bathurst that I had recorded. Bit of a dud, all the cars look the same now, no crashes till lap 130 odd. Guy who started on poll came first. Whatever, should have gone for a longer ride.
