Finally got the last bits of that TrailTech instrument cluster working on the DR.
A hell of a lot more fiddly than they let on....

The little XT needs a run before it rusts into the garage floor...

Time to look at the 5km CoVid bubble and see what can be made from that to stretch the legs of the XT and give the DR a test-run.
Preferably with some scenic stuff and some nice, narrow gravel lanes.

I can spy with my little eye.... something useful.
And about 80% gravelly :)

5k's equals 30k's....and then some?

It sure was worth waiting for the Monday :)
Not just that the long-ordered bashplate for the XT showed up....but man, the weather!
Balm for the soul !

Starting off to bounce along that 5km ring-of-restrictions.

Yo....here's where it starts. Right at the bottom of the Channel10 towers

Cutting through the back of Olinda to keep skimming the 5k-border.

Still lots of the storm-damage chaos around from a month or 2 ago....

Great pictures. :icon-photo-:….Lucky that your 5 km radius has something to offer.
My 5 km radius would offer up some jet skiing opportunities in the Port Phillip Bay and then maybe a trip to Moorabbin DFO :bs

When we had lockdowns here in Tas last year, we were still able to visit a National Park if it was within something like 30kms. The nearest one to us? Mt Field, 43 km away

Isn't Mt. Welly a bit closer? Some nice stuff around Collins Cap, too.

Welly is a reserve, not a national park. Yes, we could go there. They ended up closing the parks for 3 months. But then added that on to our parks passes. We got up to Mt Field when they opened up again

Whooptee!

10k's radius and 4hrs "exercising"....
better re-draw the map, methinks.
Hmmmm.....Wandin, Mt. Evelyn, and just scraping around the outside of Silvan Reservoir,
Braeside and Hackett's are also inside for some short, steep gravel fun....and the handywork on the DR needs checking.
:)
