Rob’s morning prayer on the “altar-of fuel” for today’s deliverance of the go-juice.

Some “oh-shiiiat…too late” -potholes on the fairly quick dash to the Eddystone Lighthouse.... the coastal shrubbery is flattening out towards the point.
Oops….couldn ‘t find the key quick enough?…or is it the new type of greenies-protest?
Things definitely smell better here
Came across those 2 on the carpark…a little BUG scoot, loaded to the gills, tent and camping stuff included….taking me hat off, those guys are REAL ADVENTURE RIDERS!!!

….on the way to Mt. William National Park. And then there was that roadworks section...arrgh, forget it, those jox are in the bin now.

Exploring the National Park…it’s a true gem!
Danger! Wallabies and wombats crossing!! And that in the middle of the day.
…followed by some spirited corner-carving on the way from Gladstone to Pioneer/ Herrick and through the twisties back “home” to the Weldborough Pub…what a way to end a day.
Rob had it all to himself, trying to get a fresh rear hoop fitted in Scottsdale just before the bike-shop closed its doors for the day.

They might be slower than Andreas, but at least they get there! Past them as I left Scottsdale the next day.

The forecast is good for the next few days in the West…time to leave the North-East.
Above the Ringarooma Valley, some gravel roads across the high plains to Mathinna.

Which proves not the only “warped” thing near Mathinna this morning
More good gravel across the ridges into the Blessington valley and back onto tar for a few k’s.
Jacobs Ladder….from the distance, the maxed-out zoom barely shows the zigzag of the road.

For sale: the Creek Inn Pub and 6 units right next to the ski-area

Yeah, I know....too many shots of the same thing. I just love 'em and they're only a few of what's 'in the bag". It just is a spectacular corner of the world.

A quick run out the valley… the planned gravel-shortcut doesn’t work out and gets us back to the main road…then pitching tents in Longford, a place hotly recommended by Suse.
And she’s damn right. There’s even a sausage sizzle on for the night, with a charity-event cooked brecky the following morning….tucker taken care off all in one hit YEEHA!
Suse…you’re a champ!
It doesn’t come much better than that.
A few days later, and that BBQ-shed will only be recognized by its ridge-capping sticking out of the floods….
Fantastic place, great people....another recommendation to anyone looking for a spot to stay a night or week.
