Gaps and Notches...and the Covered Bridges of Vermont
Drifting through the Northern half of the Green Mountains (and Appalachian Ridge), there's no shortage of ski-resorts, mountains, gorges, steep valleys, lookouts and a bucketload of twisties.
As well as the highest peak in Vermont, Mt. Mansfield, crowning above the Stowe Mountain Ski Area.
Where there's mountains, there's water....and bridges....and they don't call 'em passes here, but Gaps + Notches.
Here's a map for a prime ride/ drive of the area, Rochester Gap, Middlebury Gap, Lincoln Gap, Roxbury Gap, Appalachian Gap, Smugglers Notch, Moretown Gap....throw in Ben+Jerrys Ice Cream Factory just north of Waterbury and 1 day just won't cover it.

Time to make the little Prius boil its batteries...
Lake Dunmore....a 30ac Camp Site with cabins, camp kitchen and superb lawns stretching along the foreshore to pitch a tent...all part of Branbury State Park.
Old hay-barn near Warren
Texas Falls nr. Hancock, Rt.100
East Middlebury
As the sign says!!
Waitsfield B+B...cute! Great brecky, rotten coffee.
Waitsfield....where the lights are on, but nobody at home.
Walked into 3 stately places with cars out front, lights on, all doors open.....knocked, hollered, yelled, then walked out
as nobody showed up. Could've filled a truck with possessions, furniture and tech gear
